The United Schools Network (USN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities in Columbus, Ohio. Since its inception, USN has successfully launched multiple schools aimed at bridging the educational divide in the community. Our mission is to transform lives and communities through education, ensuring that every child has access to quality learning environments.
Position Overview
The Education Fellow role offers a distinctive chance for passionate individuals to delve into the educational sector while acquiring practical experience and training essential for becoming effective classroom educators. Education Fellows will have the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals, observe exemplary teaching methods, provide substitute teaching support, co-teach alongside experienced educators, and assist with tutoring, grading, and individualized instruction. The goal is for Education Fellows to evolve into candidates for full-time teaching roles in the subsequent academic year, with opportunities to gradually take on teaching responsibilities throughout the fellowship.

Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. degree with the ability to obtain the necessary teaching license.
- Experience in urban educational settings is preferred.
- Commitment to data-driven instructional practices and techniques to enhance student outcomes.
- Dedication to developing and refining curriculum, lessons, and assessments.
- Openness to receiving and implementing feedback from colleagues.
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and team members.
- Proficiency with digital tools for communication and task completion.
- This is a full-time position.
- Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with some responsibilities extending beyond these hours.
- Starting salary for new Education Fellows with a Bachelor's degree is competitive and based on experience.
