Dairyland Power Cooperative is a generation and transmission cooperative that provides wholesale energy to 24 electric distribution cooperatives and 17 municipal utilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern, Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Information Services department, you will provide technical support for networks and network devices, working under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support for network and technology-related questions and concerns.
  • Answer telephone calls and emails, providing networking assistance and resolving issues of entry-level complexity.
  • Develop a working knowledge of our networks and network devices, as well as additional products and infrastructure, to provide technical support and information to necessary parties.
  • Collaborate with the network and infrastructure teams to analyze and resolve hardware, network, and other problems of entry-level complexity.
  • Assist in product testing, evaluation, and recommendation of applications/hardware to determine their applicability to existing and future user needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Current student in a Computer Science-related field, working towards an associate degree or higher, with a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and follow-through on customer service requests.
  • General working knowledge of network and infrastructure devices, theory, and protocols.
