Job Summary

The K12 Pathways Liaison plays a key role in building relationships with industry partners in advanced manufacturing and area school districts. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop and deliver creative activities that promote STEM fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and uphold Western's values, including learning, excellence, accountability, diversity, student success, teamwork, integrity, and respect.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish relationships and make connections.
  • Develop and deliver hands-on activities that promote STEM fields.
  • Manage and maintain lab space.
  • Represent Western at regional and community events to network with industry professionals.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as education, STEM, business, manufacturing, or a technical field, with 4 years of occupational experience in K12 or a manufacturing setting.
  • 6 years of occupational experience in K12 or a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of occupational experience in K12 or a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing, such as PLCs, robotics, CAD, computer networking, machining, etc.
  • Experience working directly with students, such as ACP, CTE, co-curricular coaching/advising, robotics teams, STEM camps, etc.
