Job Description

RICEFW Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network and Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.

Scope of Work
  • Plan, design, and implement local and campus area networks, as well as instructional labs.
  • Assist in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting network hardware, software, and ancillary services.
  • Make recommendations for network modifications and enhancements.
  • Assist in developing criteria for network monitoring software and network traffic data collection and analysis.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other technical staff members to resolve user and systems problems.
  • Manage e-mail servers, including archival and spam management.
  • Provide assistance with server upgrades and consolidation.
  • Support and troubleshoot video conferencing solutions.
  • Assist school districts with long-range technology planning efforts.
  • Provide network security assessments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Security certifications, such as CISSP, SANS, or COMPTIA Security Plus.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional Server Administrator (MCITP-SA).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) with experience in routing and switching.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Server.
  • Experience with Google G Suite and/or Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Intune.
  • Experience with audio-visual communications using H.323 protocol.
  • Experience with developing and delivering technical training.
  • Project management experience for hardware and software implementation projects.
  • WAN, LAN, and network design experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with MDM technologies for setting up and managing devices.
  • Experience with web filtering and remote support solutions.
  • Wireless/Wi-Fi networking experience.
  • Ability to interact with functional users and technical staff.
  • Ability to listen and solve problems.
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation.
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to effectively work with team members in multiple geographic locations.
