Clinical Nurse Specialist Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Manager to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of nursing education and development within our organization.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Director of Professional Practice and Magnet Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, leadership, and management, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic action plans to support organizational goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Training and Development, Central Education, and Nursing Professional Development Division, including supervision and performance management functions of department staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Professional Practice and Magnet Program to manage the daily operations of the Training and Development, Central Education, and Nursing Professional Development Division.
  • Oversee all unit Nursing Professional Development Generalists, Specialists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and student placements.
  • Develop and implement strategic action plans to support the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Incorporate Intermountain Health KPIs into competencies and educational offerings.
  • Partner with Clinical Educators, Nurse Professional Development Specialists/Generalists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists to develop processes to monitor clinical staff performance in compliance with established timeframes.
  • Develop, revise, and implement clinical policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience.
  • At least three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
  • At least two (2) years of leadership/management experience, including process improvement and change management experience.

Estimated Salary Range:

The estimated salary range for this position is $43.67 - $67.41 per hour, based on experience.
