Job Summary:

A Clinical Communication Specialist is required to evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders related to speech, language, and cognitive communication in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in speech pathology, relevant licensure, and clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for hospital inpatients and outpatients
  • Consult with patients and their caregivers to educate and train them on communication skills
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in speech pathology
  • Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and achieve clinical competencies by the required clinical internships
  • At least six (6) months of experience in the acute care setting, including experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies
Working Conditions:

This role requires working independently with limited contact with other Speech Language Pathologists. Physical requirements include hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly range for this position is $34.06 - $52.55. Intermountain Health offers a comprehensive benefits package that covers programs to foster a sustainable culture of wellness, including living healthy, happy, secure, connected, and engaged.

Location:

Billings, Montana. A 40-hour full-time position with Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm schedule.
