Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Support Specialist to join our Neuro Patient Care team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to our nursing staff, assisting with patient care tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our unit.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $17.60 - $22.88, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as retirement plans and paid time off.

Job Description

As a Clinical Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical support to our nursing staff, including answering call lights, assisting with hygiene care, obtaining vital signs, and communicating effectively with the care team.
  • Performing 12-lead EKG duties commensurate with your level of training and competency.
  • Applying, checking, and documenting restraints as directed by the RN or physician.
  • Performing wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection.
  • Assisting with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges as directed and in compliance with safe patient handling principles.
  • Maintaining office and patient care floor stock/supplies.
  • Performing unit secretary duties, including maintaining patient charts, responding to phone calls, maintaining daily assignment boards, providing equipment care/cleaning, and performing errands associated with patient care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
  • 1+ years of previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

This position is located at Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana.

Estimated Salary

$61,440 - $82,841 per year, based on a 36-hour workweek.
