Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administration and coordination of housekeeping functions in assigned sections. This includes inspecting guest rooms to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and organization. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing guidance and support to Room Attendants, as well as assuming all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and motivate a team of Room Attendants to ensure they meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Guest Room Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to Room Attendants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness in all areas of the housekeeping department.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining records, submitting reports, and handling lost and found items.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
