Role Responsibilities:
As a Lead Marine Systems Engineer, you will:
- Utilize your knowledge of marine engineering principles to conduct comprehensive engineering analyses.
- Work autonomously while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills within the marine structures domain.
- Prepare detailed drawings and perform structural designs for marine facilities.
- Provide technical support for various marine projects, including dredging and shore protection.
- Review design modifications due to construction challenges and approve necessary documentation.
- Address technical inquiries from construction teams and participate in coordination meetings.
- Guide the transportation and installation processes for modular marine structures.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering from an accredited institution.
- Significant experience in marine structure design, with a focus on ports, terminals, and related facilities.
- Proficiency in commercial engineering software.
- Strong analytical capabilities in structural and geotechnical design.
- PE Registration or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
Work Environment:
This position allows for flexible telework arrangements, with occasional travel required for site visits and meetings.
