Coastal and Marine Engineer Opportunity

Coastal Protection Engineering is seeking a talented and motivated Coastal and Marine Engineer to join our team in Destin, FL. As a key member of our coastal and marine engineering practice, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including marinas, waterfront structures, and coastal structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform coastal engineering analyses, designs, and prepare engineering reports and technical documentation.
  • Assist in preparing project construction plans and specifications.
  • Obtain State and Federal project permits and perform permit compliance.
  • Perform project construction observations, interpret contract documents, enforce contract specifications, and review submittals for accuracy, completeness, and design consistency.
  • Ensure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards.
  • Communicate with co-workers, clients, subconsultants, and the public in a professional manner through verbal and written correspondence.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, ocean, structural, or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in the analysis and design of coastal structures, foundations, and pile-supported structures.
  • Experience with structural analysis software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Proficient English communication skills (oral and written).
