Key Responsibilities:

  • Lifeguard Duties: The primary focus of this position includes overseeing pool and waterfront activities, ensuring the safety of all patrons. Responsibilities encompass monitoring swimmers, enforcing safety regulations, and executing water rescues when necessary.
  • Safety Observations: Regularly assess the assigned area for potential hazards, including water quality and environmental conditions, to maintain a secure environment.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to perform first aid and CPR, as well as coordinate with medical personnel during emergencies.
  • Chemical Management: Conduct routine testing of pool chemicals, document findings, and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Facility Maintenance: Carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility meets health and safety standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide guidance and orientations for patrons regarding equipment usage and safety protocols.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on incidents and safety inspections, and communicate any concerns to management.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of aquatic safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to identify and address hazardous situations promptly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections and chemical testing.
  • Certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED are mandatory.
