Position Overview:
As a Civil Engineering Project Manager II, you will collaborate with project leaders, taking on responsibilities for civil engineering initiatives, while guiding fellow engineers to finalize design plans and documentation for various civil engineering projects. This includes the creation of design documents and permits for site layouts, utility configurations, roadway designs, grading plans, and right-of-way documentation utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

Key Responsibilities:
• Establish standards for technical design content throughout all design phases.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, to ensure comprehensive quality assurance through effective quality control practices.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior civil engineers, fostering a strong client-oriented approach.

Project Management:
• Oversee multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Lead project teams, delegate tasks to team members, and monitor overall project progress to ensure successful outcomes.

Design and Analysis:
• Develop detailed reports, preliminary concepts, and full design phase deliverables, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Assist in calculations and analyses for stormwater management systems, sanitary sewer systems, water supply and distribution, and traffic signal design.

Field Engagement:
• Participate in field investigations to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, followed by the preparation of detailed reports.

Public Engagement:
• Attend public meetings as necessary and consult with regulatory agencies when required.

Technology Utilization:
• Employ design software and technology, including AutoCAD 3D, EPANET, MicroStation, and other emerging tools for effective presentation and production.

Proposal Development:
• Prepare engineering proposals, providing insights on anticipated complexity, budget, and required hours to assist in generating proposals for new projects.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a current license.
• Minimum of 8 years of diverse civil engineering experience, including interactions with zoning boards and planning commissions.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
• NCEES registration and NSPE membership.
• CSI-CDT certification.
• LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP certification.
• Experience with HEC RAS, EPANET, MicroStation, or SYNCRO, as well as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
