Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Director, Hospital Communications Coordinators monitor telephone console and process incoming and in-house calls in a quick and professional manner. They assist patients and visitors with information and directions to specific areas in the hospital; respond quickly and effectively to all emergency codes using proper hospital procedures, and maintain a professional level of work performance and image for the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer all incoming & inter-hospital calls within 30 seconds and page over Public Address system.
- Respond to all emergency codes within 5 seconds and proceed with appropriate procedures.
- Assist security by monitoring devices and paging/ calling on SpectraLink phones.
- Assist and direct all visitors or patients to their specific areas within the hospital.
Requirements:
- High school or equivalent.
- 1 year PBX experience or multi-line telephone experience required.

Compensation
