Townsen Memorial Surgery Center is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist for our facility in Kingwood, Texas. This candidate will be responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced. Working closely with radiologists and physicians, this candidate will also operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under the direction of the physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients
  • Select proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis
  • Position patients and set up and adjust equipment to obtain the best quality x-ray of the specific body area requested by the physician
  • Implement infection control procedures for the work area
  • Maintain a sterile field and implement best practices while in the operating room
  • Check X-ray for clarity of image, and retake X-rays when needed
  • Maintain quantity and quality control checks to assure X-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and facility policy
  • Perform radiographic procedures for patients in surgery
  • Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed to equipment
  • Assure that all materials and other required equipment are present and in working order

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
  • ARRT/TMB licenses
  • Ortho/Spine Experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to lift and position patients for the type of X-ray procedure required
  • Ability to clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to equipment

Work Week Schedule:

  • 8-hour dayshift
