Job Summary
The Emergency Medicine Physician provides clinical care in a dynamic Emergency Department setting. This role follows and directs evidence-based practices established within the service line. Collaboration and coordination with the clinical team are essential to ensure an appropriate continuum of care.
- WV Employed position
- Annual volume: 10,000 patients
- 25-bed Critical Access hospital
- 24-hour physician coverage (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am)
- 12-hour APP coverage
- Hospitalist team handles admissions
- Nocturnist on staff - minimum half of nights covered
- EMR: CPSI (with roadmap to transition to Cerner to align with the system)
Preston Memorial is part of the Mon Health System and the larger Vandalia Health, providing support and resources. The hospital is located 45 minutes from Morgantown, WV, and 1 hour 50 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA. The area offers numerous outdoor recreational activities, including skiing, hiking, white water rafting, and kayaking.
Requirements
- MD or DO required
- Board eligible/board certified in EM with inpatient experience OR Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board certified with EM experience
- WV Medical License required
