As a StaffFlex CST, you will be a valued member of AdventHealth, enjoying the flexibility to work contract assignments at a single facility or across multiple hospitals in nine states. This role is ideal for those who seek the freedom to travel while aligning with our mission. StaffFlex offers the chance to work in various units.

Work Schedule: 36-40 hours per week

Shift: Days

Key Responsibilities:

The surgical technologist plays a crucial role in preparing and managing surgical supplies, equipment, and ensuring the operating room is ready for clinical procedures. This position requires expertise in surgical instruments, the ability to assemble complex mechanical devices, and a solid understanding of anatomy, along with strong anticipatory skills and dexterity. Staying updated on new products, procedures, and techniques is essential. The surgical technologist supports Surgical, CVOR, and GI services to maintain a safe and effective environment for patients and staff. All activities are performed under the direct supervision of the perioperative registered nurse and operating surgeon.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant CST experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technician
  • BLS certification required
