As a StaffFlex CST, you will be a valued member of AdventHealth, enjoying the flexibility to work contract assignments at a single facility or across multiple hospitals in nine states. This role is ideal for those who wish to travel while aligning with our mission, providing opportunities to work in various departments.

Work Schedule: 36-40 hours per week

Shift: Daytime

Key Responsibilities:

The surgical technologist plays a crucial role in preparing and managing surgical supplies, equipment, and the operating room environment, while providing clinical and technical support during surgical procedures. This role requires expertise in surgical instruments, the ability to assemble complex mechanical devices, sequential planning, and a solid understanding of anatomy, along with strong anticipatory skills and dexterity. Staying updated on new products, procedures, and surgical techniques is essential. The surgical technologist supports Surgical, CVOR, and GI services to ensure a safe and effective environment for patients and staff. All responsibilities are performed under the direct supervision of the perioperative registered nurse and the operating surgeon.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant experience as a CST
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technician
  • BLS certification required
