Job Title: Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to join our team at New Horizons in Autism Inc. As a BCaBA, you will play a critical role in providing behavioral support services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in various settings, including day habilitation, residential, in-home, supported employment, and community-based settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer skill acquisition assessments, including VB MAPP, FISH, Essential for Living, Preference Assessments, and Assessment of Functional Living Skills.
  • Conduct functional assessments of challenging behaviors, including Functional Behavior Assessments and Functional Analysis.
  • Develop supported employment programming as needed.
  • Design, implement, and train stakeholders in data collection methods, skill acquisition programming, behavior support plans, and behavior strategies for each individual assigned to your caseload.
  • Assist in conducting intake assessments for prospective clients.
  • Review and modify behavior support plans according to data.
  • Complete all reports and assessments within a timely manner and meet ongoing deadlines.
  • Facilitate Natural Environment Training when appropriate.
  • Directly observe programs implemented by RBTs, Direct Support Staff, etc.
  • Review support staff's documentation and data collection, providing feedback as needed.
  • Complete consultation notes at each consultation and record/upload into individual's file.
  • Complete behavior support service logs for billing.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to exchange, discuss, and evaluate individual information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs and services.
  • Provide scheduled consultations face-to-face or via tele-health with individuals and support staff, reviewing data, updating program models, and techniques for support staff when necessary.
  • Lead behavior support staff meetings, in-services, professional development workshops, and trainings as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Communicate through email regularly.
  • Provide regularly scheduled individual and group supervision sessions to RBTs.
  • Complete RBT competencies for candidates pursuing certification.
  • Provide services based on the needs of the individuals, which may require flexible scheduling.
  • Receive ongoing supervision by an approved clinical supervisor as outlined in the NHIA Supervision Contract.
  • Attend all clinical and company-related events as indicated by the Director of Clinical Services.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
  • Possess and maintain a BCaBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Have successfully completed the 8-hour supervision course and meet the BACB requirements for providing supervision and maintaining supervisory designation as outlined by the BACB.
  • Obtain, possess, and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification and re-certification every 2 years.
  • Must pass a criminal history, central registry background check, and Department of Education Background Check.
  • Maintain a clear criminal record.
  • Exhibit superior time management and organizational skills, meeting deadlines and thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year ABA experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Division Circulars, Supports Programs Policies and Procedures, and Community Care Policies and Procedures manuals.
  • Experience in residential, day program, community settings.
  • Experience in providing school consultation.
  • Experience developing professional development content.
  • Experience providing supervision to RBTs and candidates pursuing certification.
  • Experience with assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior.
