Position Overview

The National Client Manager (NCM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the entire customer journey for designated national clients while managing and nurturing the overall client relationship. Leading a team of skilled professionals, the NCM is responsible for delivering on commitments, maximizing our service capabilities, and addressing custom client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders to fully understand client requirements and ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address customer needs, promoting effective communication and supporting company initiatives.
  • Develop tailored communication strategies for each client, including executive summaries, action plans, site visits, and regular meetings to provide tactical support and demonstrate our value as a partner.
  • Create and manage Client Business Plans focused on customer needs, monitoring financial metrics for profitability, growth, and retention to meet company objectives.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve issues, making timely decisions and assessing their impact.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently to influence positive outcomes and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Resolve complex client issues collaboratively and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain expertise in relevant regulations and job functions, ensuring workflow efficiency and accountability while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Required Group Life and Health Licenses.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage work independently.
  • Strong commitment to company vision and goals, fostering client adherence to initiatives.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High level of customer service orientation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Experience in negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in group insurance, absence management, disability, leave, and life insurance, along with experience in account management, sales, or underwriting.

Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 50%.
