Essential Qualifications:

  • Interest in the convergence of life sciences and computer science.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in software product development through various methodologies.
  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a dynamic setting.
Specific Skills Required:
  • Proficient in Python development for backend systems, with familiarity in libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and SQLAlchemy.
  • Experience in constructing data pipelines using workflow management frameworks (e.g., Airflow).
  • Experience in developing high-concurrency backend systems for processing large data volumes in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with database application development, preferably with Oracle and big data systems.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Singularity) and CI/CD practices.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
Language Proficiency:
  • Fluency in English is required.
Compensation:

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience.
