Job Summary

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the administrative functions of our Pine St. Clinic Outpatient Team in Springfield, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise administrative staff to ensure efficient front office operations.
  • Review and correct Southern Region unbilled and held claims to ensure accurate reimbursement.
  • Verify authorizations for all service lines and collaborate with Southern Region supervisors to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate benefits assignments in the electronic health record (EHR) and resolve any missing information.
  • Run and analyze reports to complete weekly and monthly reporting to the state.
  • Monitor internal and external referrals for accuracy.
  • Manage workflow and oversee payment for services rendered, including co-pays, self-pay, and batching.
  • Review and report productivity data to leadership.
  • Develop and execute corrective trainings with leadership.
  • Maintain data tracking to support improvements across programs.
  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings and trainings.
  • Oversee successful scheduling of services across the region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Prior experience in billing and medical records.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to type standard letters and complete typewritten forms with accuracy and computer skills.
  • Understanding and adherence to confidentiality protocols.
