Pacific University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Student Accounts Coordinator to join our Business Office team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily cash receipts and transactions, as well as maintaining accurate records of student accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Student Payments and Refunds: Process payments from various sources, issue refunds, and monitor payment schedules.
- Collection of Delinquent Accounts: Track delinquent accounts, communicate with students, and negotiate debt payment arrangements.
- Account Maintenance: Review and correct student accounts for accuracy, maintain and reconcile various accounts, and update student account information.
- Customer Service: Assist students and parents with policies and procedures, providing excellent customer service in a busy office environment.
- Other Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts: Record cash in appropriate accounts, prepare and reconcile deposits, and maintain records.
- Education: High school education or equivalent and one to two years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, and customer service.
- Skills: Excellent communication and computer skills, with experience in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of administrative software systems, preferably in higher education.
The working environment is generally favorable, yet busy at times. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
