Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, including police, fire, and ambulance services
  • Determine response requirements and dispatch units in accordance with established procedures
  • Relay information and messages to and from emergency sites, law enforcement agencies, and other individuals or groups requiring notification
  • Maintain access to and security of highly sensitive materials
  • Monitor computerized 911, fire, and security alarm systems
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ability to utilize computer software programs
  • Reliability and ability to work on University holidays and overtime when required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radio dispatch experience
  • Knowledge of Monmouth County Radio and adjacent Police Departments
