Job Overview

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will function as a senior procurement specialist and a technical authority on acquisition-related issues within the designated organization. This role requires maintaining a thorough understanding of all operations and elements associated with the designated acquisition program(s), including pertinent Government laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and advisory support to acquisition professionals.
  • Engage with programs related to the procurement of military vehicle systems, subsystems, or components, as well as logistics, services, and installation support.
  • Effectively manage workload to ensure that priorities align with organizational requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Ability to secure a security clearance is required.

A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant experience is necessary.

Extensive knowledge of DoD acquisition systems, policies, regulations, and compliance issues.

Thorough understanding of the DoD procurement process, including automation and procurement needs, enabling the development, implementation, and management of a broad range of procurement-related issues.

Expertise in the defense acquisition cycle, business strategy principles, contract types, and management objectives.

Proficient in both verbal and written communication, with the capability to provide expert technical leadership, analysis, and consultation in procurement-related areas.

Ability to formulate effective strategies, exercise initiative, and utilize seasoned technical knowledge to create and implement procurement solutions within established guidelines.

Proficient in utilizing a variety of analytical, evaluation, and policy approaches based on the interpretation of current policies and goals.

Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
