Key Responsibilities - As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will oversee the acquisition of various productive and non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tools, and services. You will play a crucial role in formulating commodity strategies, conducting sourcing and negotiations, executing global and regional material budgets, and collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This position demands a high level of initiative, analytical skills, and sound judgment.

Core Duties (Responsibilities)
  • Maintain sourcing pipelines, benchmarking data, strategic presentations, global budgets, and timely metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and unit purchasing and accounting standards and procedures.
    • Sourcing and Contract Management Activities include, but are not limited to:
      o Management of sourcing event bid strategies
      o Analysis of bid data
      o Coordination of RFQ package components, including Terms & Conditions, Statement of Requirements, and technical documentation
      o Leadership in sourcing recommendations and alignment
  • Manage sourcing documentation related to bid events in accordance with audit services.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate specific contract terms.
  • Engage with suppliers daily regarding all commercial items.
  • Support commercial budget initiatives.
  • Assist in logistics supplier management efforts, including strategic supplier engagement.
  • Foster relationships with key suppliers by serving as the primary contact for commercial issue resolution.
  • Conduct rate management activities, including spot purchases, rate analysis, and supplier inquiries.
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews.
Qualifications & Skills (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field, excluding internships or co-op roles.
  • Experience with direct commodities is essential.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities for addressing complex and unusual problems.
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Proficient negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Competence in interpreting contracts.
  • Demonstrated global business acumen.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
