Job Summary

The Patient Access Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the financial well-being of patients and their families. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and enter financial and demographic information into the ADT system
  • Verify insurance benefit information and generate ABNs as needed
  • Review orders for compliance and complete MSP requirements
  • Obtain financial and treatment consents from patients and their families
  • Place ordered medical procedures and obtain pre-certification when applicable

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in patient access or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of hospital financial policies and procedures

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
