About the Role

AG Foundry - Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack Business Intelligence applications across various stakeholder groups within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing, ETL, and Business Intelligence reporting solutions to support business decision-making.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, SSRS, etc.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand reporting and data needs, and ensure data accuracy and integrity through proper testing and validation.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with new Business Intelligence technologies and trends to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • User Requirements: Evaluate user requirements and identify the best source and delivery of information requested by business users.
  • Interface with Stakeholders: Interface with stakeholders to gather business requirements, design appropriate Business Intelligence solutions, and implement applications according to development standards and best practices.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Build key performance indicators for divisions of the business.
  • Enterprise Solutions: Design and develop enterprise and departmental Business Intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with business users to generate and deliver quality reports and perform quality assurance checks on reports.
  • End-to-End Solutions: Create end-to-end solutions to meet business requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years using analytical tools including PowerBI and/or Tableau. Cognos experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: 5+ years' experience with databases, querying, data modeling, and Business Intelligence tools including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, MDX, TSQL, PL/SQL.
  • Data Engineering: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with data engineering including ETL and data warehousing.
  • Data Modeling: 5+ years of data modeling relational and multi-dimensional databases.
  • Data Visualization: Experience with Data Visualization and design.
  • Complex Data Environment: Experience working in a complex data environment with rapidly changing requirements.
  • Cloud-Based Data Warehousing: Prior exposure to cloud-based data warehousing technologies preferred.
  • Agile and DevOps: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Azure Data Warehouse: 3+ years using Azure data warehouse including experience with Azure Data Factory, Data bricks, and performing SSIS ETL from on-premise solutions to cloud data warehouses.
  • Database/Data Warehouse Certification: Database/Data Warehouse Certification(s) a plus.
