Salary Information

We offer an estimated annual salary of $70,000 - $90,000 based on experience and location.

Job Description

As a Field Layout Carpenter, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing project documents and understanding site survey objectives
  • Providing horizontal and vertical control using Total Stations
  • Participating in basic layout and field engineering activities, including establishing control lines, laying foundations, and setting elevation control points
  • Assisting with surveying activities and maintaining proper usage and storage of surveying equipment

You will work in a fast-paced environment, potentially exposed to extreme temperatures, noise, and dust from construction operations. Proficiency in reading and understanding contract drawings is essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in field engineering or layout
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding contract drawings, including structural and architectural plans
  • The ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
