Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer - Plumbing to join our team at MSA Professional Services, Inc.

About the Role:

  • Design of plumbing systems including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specification, and coordination.
  • Fire protection scope of work design specification and layout.
  • Drawing development using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Shop drawing and submittal review and processing.
  • Quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Project management and client interaction.
  • Assist with mentoring junior technicians and engineers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 4+ years of prior commercial plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor required.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • Ability to obtain PE license within 2 years of employment required.
  • Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities and commercial buildings required.
  • Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with both contractors, clients and other disciplines preferred.
  • Experience with Revit required.
  • Prior project management experience required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 based on industry standards and location. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
