About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Acme Smoked Fish Corp. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing operational support in all areas of human resources to ensure the effective functioning of our Acme Florida location.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Policy Development: Develop, review, and/or update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • HR Program Implementation: Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies across the organization.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation and application, handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Performance Management: Support performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching managers on performance-related matters.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead employee engagement team to promote positive employee relations initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop relevant programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Recruitment: Oversee the recruiting process for production associates, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and providing necessary orientation and training.
  • HRIS Management: Work with HRIS analyst to ensure employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Work with HRIS Analyst to generate HR reports and metrics for management, identifying trends and providing insights for decision-making.
  • Compliance: Support audits, investigations, and legal matters related to HR, maintain compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years' progressive experience in human resources roles, with a focus on HR generalist responsibilities.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong collaboration and team-oriented skills, excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
