Human Resources Generalist

NYU Langone Health is a world-renowned, patient-centered, integrated academic medical center. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Access Center sites and Ambulatory practices in Florida. This position will provide general HR support, including benefits, employee relations, compensation, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and recruitment/staffing.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a first point of contact for HR matters and provide guidance to practice directors, managers/supervisors, and employees.
- Work with Recruitment and Staffing to ensure job descriptions are current and job requisitions are processed.
- Assist in the administration of HR programs, procedures, and plans used to carry out HR policies and procedures.
- Provide on-site HR support to the Florida Access Center and Ambulatory Practices.
- Review corrective action as assigned by HR Managers and escalate sensitive issues as needed.
- Conduct new hire employee orientation process and act as liaison to finance/payroll as appropriate.
- Coordinate training for leadership on leave management, managing employee performance, and other critical HR topics.
- Serve as principal point of contact for coordination of new employee process, including both pre and post onboarding of the acquisition of new hires for regional area of responsibility.
- Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of progressive experience in two or more HR disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations and proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, customer service, and client management skills.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and utilize data to formulate recommendations and work effectively with all levels of management and internal and external customers.
