Student Enrollment Coordinator

The Student Enrollment Coordinator role is a vital position at Phalen Leadership Academies, responsible for fostering local interest, managing the recruitment and enrollment process, and ensuring student and family persistence. Key responsibilities include raising awareness of Phalen Leadership Academies, promoting the campus, securing applicants, and nurturing relationships with families throughout the enrollment pipeline. The Recruiter will work strategically to achieve 100% campus enrollment goals by engaging the community and maintaining high levels of communication and support for prospective and current families.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in admissions, enrollment, sales, or business development in a fully virtual or remote environment. They will possess intimate knowledge of the campus community and its unique needs, as well as strong communication skills to connect with parents and families regarding educational issues for their children. A bilingual Spanish speaker is strongly preferred but not required.

The Student Enrollment Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-lasting relationships with families to foster engagement and support within the community. They will ensure 100% Enrollment on the First Day of School (FDOS) and execute student recruitment strategies that target families with school-aged children within an assigned territory. The Recruiter will also strategically manage the enrollment territory, identifying key areas for recruitment and establishing a strong presence within the community through long-term and short-term strategic partnerships.

The Student Enrollment Coordinator will act as a brand ambassador and community expert by mastering the intricacies of the Phalen Leadership Academies model, ensuring all families are well-informed about PLA's programs. They will engage the community through off-site presentations at local organizations, participate in neighborhood walks and door-to-door outreach in areas near PLA schools, and host enrollment events to recruit prospective families and provide enrollment information. The Recruiter will also facilitate the application process, ensuring high-quality submissions, and proactively monitor application quality and promptly resolve any issues, supporting parents to ensure a smooth and efficient application experience.

The ideal candidate will be able to consistently track and document progress, providing accurate reports that reflect up-to-date daily reporting and ensure timely submission to meet all enrollment goals. They will also nurture relationships with current families to achieve 90% re-enrollment, including managing the re-registration process, ensuring effective communication, and diligent follow-up until all families have responded and registration documents are completed and approved. The Recruiter will also ensure all new families are effectively on-boarded from the time they apply with ongoing communications and invitations to tours and/or open houses.

The Student Enrollment Coordinator will collaborate with other campus staff on recruitment and engagement events to greet and nurture relationships with new families. They will demonstrate excellent time management and planning skills, ensuring the Chief Enrollment Officer and National Director of Scholar Enrollment are updated on progress and challenges. The Recruiter will maintain accountability by regularly updating supervisor and campus leadership on enrollment activities, progress towards goals, and any issues. Other duties as assigned.
