Position Overview

Salary: $22 - $35/hr, based on relevant experience and qualifications.

We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Environmental Consultant to contribute to our expanding operations. No prior experience is necessary; we will provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed for success in the environmental consulting sector. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and develop in a supportive work environment, with a strong passion for environmental stewardship.

In this role, you will assist clients in recognizing environmental compliance obligations and strategies to uphold these standards while safeguarding the ecosystem. Your primary responsibilities will involve supporting routine permitting and compliance initiatives under the mentorship of experienced professionals. You may also collaborate with various internal teams based on business requirements, including conducting environmental assessments for our stormwater division.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel, including overnight stays, will be necessary, typically with prior notification.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field, sciences, or engineering preferred.
  • Basic understanding of biology, environmental regulations, cultural resources, water quality, air quality, and hazardous materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, accountable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with fundamental GIS principles.
