Position Summary:

The Mechanical Engineering Technician will play a crucial role in the management, upkeep, and troubleshooting of various environmental treatment systems. This position involves significant travel to multiple project locations. Candidates with a background in mechanical systems, such as HVAC or air conditioning, are highly desirable due to the technical demands of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain environmental treatment systems, ensuring peak performance and adherence to environmental standards.
  • Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on treatment systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational challenges.
  • Document and report on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment at all times.
  • Travel frequently to various project sites, often on short notice.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of environmental treatment systems or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to diverse work environments.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems (HVAC, air conditioning, etc.).
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with various types of environmental treatment technologies.
