Rehabilitation Specialist (Full-Time)

Job Overview

Position Summary
The Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for assessing patients and developing tailored treatment plans, subject to physician endorsement for all assigned individuals. This role involves ongoing adjustments to the treatment strategy as necessary and collaboration with medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The Specialist meticulously documents patient progress and offers recommendations for continued care.


Collaboration and Education
The Rehabilitation Specialist works closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care, providing essential education to patients and their families, and facilitating discharge planning.

Additionally, the Specialist oversees the activities of the Rehabilitation Technician and/or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within the team.


Training and Supervision
In this role, the Specialist may also participate in the orientation and training of new team members or supervise students in the field of rehabilitation.

Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
