Key Responsibilities- Conduct New Hire Orientations: Provide comprehensive safety training to new employees, ensuring they understand our safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate Accidents and Near Misses: Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Conduct Regular Safety Inspections: Inspect safety-related stations, including eye wash, fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and first aid cabinets, to ensure they are in good working order.
- Lead the Safety Committee: Collaborate with team members to identify and implement safety improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate Internal and External Audits: Work with regulatory agencies, such as OSHA and IWLA, to ensure our warehouse operations meet industry standards.
- Develop and Implement Safety Training Programs: Design and deliver training sessions on safety-related topics, including ergonomics, remedial task training, and AIB training.
- Perform Administrative Tasks: Manage safety-related documents, including policy binders and safety data sheets, and maintain accurate records of safety incidents and training.
- 5+ Years of Experience: Proven track record of administering safety programs in an industrial environment.
- Behavior-Based Safety Programs: Experience with implementing and maintaining behavior-based safety programs.
- Ergonomics and Investigation: Strong understanding of ergonomics and investigation principles.
- Material Handling Experience: Experience with material handling equipment and procedures.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with team members, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- PC Literate: Proficient in Microsoft Office software and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
