Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a team of supervisors to achieve plant objectives in safety, quality, training, productivity, and cost containment.
  • Monitor performance, compliance with operational procedures, and other parameters associated with warehouse operations.
  • Create and execute detailed plans to meet established production schedules.
  • Develop skills of direct reports and plant employees.
  • Recruit and source for vacancies, including working with supervisors to profile positions, recommend a recruiting strategy, and advise on hiring and compensation decisions.
  • Ensure training and certification of all forklift drivers for safe and efficient operation of the warehouse.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in all warehouse, loading docks, and adjacent parking areas.
  • Supervise, direct, and motivate personnel in the Production area of responsibility.
  • Understand financial information to communicate to all parts of the organization.
  • Responsible for the annual budget of the Warehouse department.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of the structure of the English language, including reading, writing, and oral comprehension and expression.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, evaluation of customer satisfaction, and actively looking for ways to help people.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to develop strategies in shipping and receiving to maximize efficiency.
  • Ability to work closely with production scheduling, production, and customer service to satisfy customer demands.
  • Ability to manage a seasonal workforce.
  • Ability to develop strategies for short and long-term storage of products.

GMP & PPE Required:

While on the production floor in the plant, you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses. Follows standard operating procedures, including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Also follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.
