This is a hands-on Warehouse Manager role that is responsible for the day-to-day organization and management of the Shipping and Receiving Department, which includes domestic and international shipments, receiving of raw materials, inventory, cycle counts, overall housekeeping, and following general safety guidelines of the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including areas of receiving, shipping, set out, transfers, silos, and bulk pre-loading.
- Supervise the Warehouse Team and support development via ongoing training, coaching, mentoring, and annual performance reviews.
- Prepare shipping documents for international and domestic shipments.
- Manage returns to the warehouse and ensure items are dealt with promptly and returned to stock/supplier.
- Conduct regular stock cycle counts to assure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and report the information to relevant managers for adjustment.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of all packaging supplies.
- Assist with equipment maintenance scheduling needs.
- Maintain high-level communication with plant management to ensure needs are met.
- Communicate professionally via phone and email regarding warehouse needs with the Corporate Warehouse team and other Corporate RTP departments.
- Ensure the highest operational standards are deployed at all times.
- Ensure the warehouse is compliant with current Health and Safety regulations and that the warehouse team is trained appropriately.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and company ERP software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Dependable and flexible with strong attendance.
- Must have a positive attitude supporting team development and business needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to successfully work with other team members and departments.
- Ability to coach and lead a team.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Warehousing/Logistics Management.
- Experience with international shipment processing a plus.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Proper personal safety equipment is to be used as required by plant safety procedures.
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, hot and cold weather conditions.
- The employee is also exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard.
- Regularly operates a computer and other office equipment such as copy machine, and printer.
- Frequently communicates with others via phone, email, in person.
