Job Goals:
To ensure the smooth and professional functioning of the Human Resources department.
Provide comprehensive administrative support to department personnel by executing assigned processes/projects, managing phone communications, drafting written correspondence, addressing inquiries and requests, generating reports, and maintaining a professional office environment.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintain thorough and accurate personnel records for all district employees.
2. Draft and type communications, including flyers, newsletters, bulletins, and memos, utilizing office technology effectively.
3. Address phone and email inquiries from the public, administration, and district staff, directing individuals as necessary.
4. Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees and visitors.
5. Serve as a backup for other members of the Human Resources team.
6. Assist with processing budget and conference documentation.
7. Manage and track background checks, including fingerprinting for new classified staff and visitors.
8.
Collect, analyze, enter, and compile data for reports and communications, including employee evaluations, letters of intent, online training records, and job descriptions.
9. Process and maintain Personnel Action Requests (PARs) within the personnel system.- Maintain district email distribution lists.
- Verify accurate entry of employee and guest absences.
- Manage the distribution and tracking of keys for the administration building.
- Prepare administrative applications for review, organize files for interviews, schedule candidates, and arrange interview logistics.
- Create agendas, send reminders, order catering, and document meeting minutes for Classified Liaison meetings.
- Oversee the Mentor program by sending reminders for New Teacher Induction classes, tracking mentor coordinator payments, and issuing induction certificates.
- Process new hire documentation and participate in orientation sessions.
- Create individual position calendars for certified and classified staff, including reporting dates.
- Order, label, and distribute district holiday cards.
- Manage Risk Management / Workers' Compensation documentation and tracking.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Ability to adhere to Board of Education policies, Superintendent directives, and departmental procedures.

- Ability to recognize and prioritize safety in the workplace, follow safety protocols, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate authorities.
Salary:
Human Resource Specialists are compensated according to the Classified Salary Schedule.
- New hires may bring in up to 8 years of relevant experience from similar educational settings.
- New hires typically start at the lower end of the salary range.
