Job Summary

NAC, Inc is a leading architecture firm dedicated to delivering exceptional design solutions that capture the intended vision. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to provide technical leadership and documentation coordination for multiple, large, and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and documentation coordination for multiple, large, and complex projects.
  • Develop design drawings, technical documentation, and lead project team assignments.
  • Conduct construction administration duties, such as site visits, RFI responses, submittals, and punch list reviews.
  • Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.
  • Establish and follow budget, task schedule, and other components of the work plan with Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to monitor project billing and maximize team quality and efficiency in assigned tasks.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of a team of project architects, project associates, and interns.
  • Analyze design, design data, and planning as it relates to project scope.
  • Contribute innovative design solutions that capture the intended design vision.
Requirements
  • Licensed Architect with major project responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction.
  • Proficiency in Revit required.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency with Sketch Up or Rhino preferred. Lumion, Enscape, and V-Ray are a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of zoning and building codes, specifications, building/engineering systems, and agency requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge in the design process, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet scheduled deadlines and work within a client's budget.
  • Excellent organizational and client presentation skills.
  • Passion for providing exceptional client service.
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic.
Certification Requirements
  • Architectural License required.
  • NCARB Certificate as needed on project assignments.
  • LEED AP Certificate and experience in sustainable design preferred.
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional open office environment with low to moderate noise levels, including collaborative work areas for team meetings.

Physical Demands
  • Hand/wrist/finger dexterity for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week.
  • Ability to lift a set of construction documents.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Position Type/Hours expected to work

This is a full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.

Travel

Occasional travel depending on project assignments.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited university preferred or have met the years of architectural experience required for license testing.
  • Master of Architecture preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture practice.
