Manufacturing Process Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Control Specialist to join our team at 3M. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of manufacturing process controls to ensure high-quality products.
Your expertise in chemical engineering and materials science will be invaluable in this role, as you will work closely with our production team to identify and implement continuous improvement projects targeting cost reduction, cycle time, and quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of manufacturing process controls to ensure high-quality products
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement continuous improvement projects
- Oversee site analytical equipment, including SEM, XRD, and X-ray (2D/3D)
- Ensure compliance with state and internal rules and regulations for radiation safety of x-ray equipment
- Engage with the customer base as the site subject matter expert in process and materials
Requirements:
- PhD in Chemical, Ceramic, or Material Engineering from an accredited institution
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Ceramic, or Material Engineering with three years of Production Management, Process Management, and/or R&D experience
- Experience with X-ray Computed Tomography and VG Studio MAX software is a plus
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed in this role include:
- Masters degree or higher in Chemical, Ceramic, or Material Engineering from an accredited university
- Black Belt, Lean, and Six Sigma certification
