We are currently seeking a full-time Housing Support Staff member in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Housing Support Staff plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and accountability of residents at Central City Apartments. This role involves managing the daily operations of the lobby, assisting residents and authorized visitors with their entry and exit from the building and their individual apartments. Staff members will also interact with the public, necessitating a calm and professional demeanor when handling potentially challenging situations.

Additionally, the Housing Support Staff will collaborate with the House Manager and Program Manager on various administrative tasks, aligning with the priorities set by the Senior Management Team, Executive Director, and Board of Directors. It is essential for candidates to maintain strong interpersonal boundaries and possess a clear understanding of ethical responsibilities.

Key Objectives:

  • Deliver high-quality care to residents.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Support both clinical and administrative teams effectively.

Work Schedule:

  • $23.52 per hour
  • Three 12-hour shifts
  • Night Shift - 6 pm to 6 am

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Peer Support Specialist Certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with vulnerable populations is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing peer-based support and encouragement to program participants.
  • Applying a trauma-informed approach in all interactions.
  • Utilizing skills in mediation, conflict resolution, and crisis management (e.g., motivational interviewing, de-escalation techniques).
  • Possessing knowledge specific to the population served (low income, history of homelessness, various mental health and substance use conditions).
  • Transporting residents to and from appointments as needed.
