Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
  • Develop individualized nursing plans of care, taking into account the developmental needs of patients and coordinating care activities with other hospital and clinic departments.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing care, utilizing protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and timely interventions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care and participate in quality assurance activities to continuously improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 9 months of RN experience.
  • 1 year of current ED experience or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the ED.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire or Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous healthcare experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • CEN certification.
