Perioperative Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse in the Perioperative department at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Under the supervision of a healthcare team, you will utilize your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment: Conduct thorough multi-system assessments, identifying deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests, and reassessing patients throughout their hospitalization.
- Planning: Develop individualized nursing plans of care, coordinating patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.
- Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients, accurately documenting in the EMR and utilizing a multidisciplinary approach when necessary.
- Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
- Minimum 9 months of RN experience
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (ICU, ED, PACU) within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
- Basic Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Previous healthcare experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- CPAN, CCRN, CAPA, PALS preferred upon hire/transfer
