We are seeking an experienced Attending Physician to provide inpatient medicine coverage at our esteemed healthcare facility in North Carolina. This is a unique opportunity for a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

This locum tenens position requires the physician to work from August 6th to 12th, providing full-time inpatient coverage during the day shift (8am-8pm). The ideal candidate will have experience working in an inpatient setting and possess excellent clinical skills, with a strong focus on medical assessment and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide inpatient medicine coverage for adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various medical conditions.
  2. Coverage of AMU, infusion unit, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services as needed.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including hospitalists and nocturnists, to ensure seamless patient care.
  4. Respond to codes and emergencies as required.

The selected physician will be working with Epic (Healthspan) EMR system and will need to have good computer skills and adaptability.

Requirements:
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM).
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong clinical skills, with a focus on medical assessment and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The salary range for this position is approximately $**250,000 - $350,000 per year**, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on national averages for similar positions in the United States.
