Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Kootenai Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a designated healthcare provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
  • Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Perform a variety of tasks as assigned by the healthcare provider.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent education/experience required.
  • Current CMA certification by AAMA, NHA, or NCCT required.
  • BLS required.
