We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Prairie Family Medicine in Coeur d'Alene. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing various administrative and clinical tasks, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting healthcare providers with medical procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, updating medical records, and obtaining medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, such as injections, vaccinations, and EKGs.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling patient correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting diploma from an accredited institution preferred.
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in a medical facility.
- Proficiency in EKG procedures, vital sign measurement, venipuncture, capillary blood draws, and administering injections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis immunizations up-to-date.
- Competitive hourly rate: $21.91 per hour DOE.
- 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts; days and hours TBD.
