Job Summary

The Athletic Trainer - Outreach Program Coordinator is responsible for the prevention, assessment, and management of athletic injuries and conditions. This position provides quality healthcare services to assigned schools and/or coverage sites, serving as an ambassador for Baptist Health Care and the Sports Medicine department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of operations of the Sports Medicine Outreach Program.
  • Stay up-to-date on medical terminology related to Sports Medicine Outreach Program.
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service skills to stakeholders.
  • Apply industry best practices and guidelines in daily work.
  • Contribute to the care and prevention of athletic injuries.
  • Collaborate with physician networks and manage referrals.
  • Evaluate situations and develop plans of care.
  • Exercise problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or related field.
  • Athletic Trainer License, State of Florida and Alabama (if working in Alabama), upon hire.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (AT_BOC) upon hire.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association upon hire.
