We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine Outreach department at Baptist Health Care. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in the prevention, assessment, and management of athletic injuries and conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality healthcare services to assigned schools and/or coverage sites, including injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation.
- Act as an Ambassador for Baptist Health Care, Andrews Institute, and the Sports Medicine department, promoting access and availability for all health care services.
- Educate personnel on emergency preparedness, injury prevention, and best practices for the health, care, and well-being of student-athletes, spectators, and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the athletic health care team, Sports Medicine Outreach Leadership, and school/site personnel.
- Document, track, and report athletic injuries from assigned schools and sites.
- Assist with departmental events, services, and/or activities, such as preparticipation physical exams, concussion baseline testing, and injury clinics.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Athletic Training.
- Current license in the State of Florida and/or Alabama, depending on the assigned state.
- Current BOC Certification.
- BLS through American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and guidelines.
