Physical Therapy Office Coordinator

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our patients and physical therapy staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional and friendly service to patients and staff, ensuring a positive experience throughout their physical therapy journey.
- Manage clinic scheduling, ensuring patients are matched with the best clinician for their needs and optimal patient flow.
- Coordinate new patient onboarding, including facility tours, data gathering, and physical therapy staff introductions.
- Verify patient medical insurance information and manage patient insurance requirements, informing patients of benefits and payment options.
- Communicate patient progress to physicians, nurse case managers, adjusters, and attorneys on behalf of physical therapists.
- Assist with patient expectation management, including frequency and duration of treatment, progression toward functional goals, and discharge planning.
- Organize cultural moments to recognize and appreciate patients' achievements.
- Execute and reinforce administrative and patient experience Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices within the clinic.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and Excel
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred
- Experience with requesting and managing customer payments preferred
